Outings

Us getting home from church after having investigators! Super happy!

Our Sunday night fort for watching our church movies!

Gorgeous weather when we were at Sister Pink's. It was just pouring and you can look out over Madison at her place

Brightly beams

Food trucks

Anybody want a peanut? These were parked at a hotel across from Sister Pink's and she made us leave early so we could go take pictures :)

At the tour of the Crosse House there was a lady teaching about needle point and this is one she brought. Holy cow! It is beautiful! I had to take a picture for you mom! It took her only 8 months!

Hmong!

My dearest family!!!

The work is real! I love being a missionary! Wow! I wish I could express the awesomeness of it all better :) Of course I am still fired up! This is the Lord's work and there ain't no stopping it! I feel great! I always express to my companion my excitement that I am still alive! I told her my mom was super worried about me not eating enough or healthy enough and I must say I am doing admirably! I am healthy, strong and alive ;) Thanks to what my mother taught me! I probably give credit to you everyday mom, one way or the other! And Dad too! We helped build someones fence the other day and I was able to use the power tools with no injury, so that is good ;) I wore a tool belt haha thanks to the men in the ward saying I need to look more the part. I looked awesome!

I LOVED the package! Everyday when we go home for lunch we are like lost puppies when we wait for the mail ;) It is similar to Dallin always wanting candy. You just can't get enough! I absolutely LOVED the skirt. So cute! I wore it Monday and looked super patriotic. I love the barn painting! Yes! I will send another picture today that would be gorgeous! Wisconsin is just a wonderful place! So gorgeous! Everyday we just marvel in its beauty!

So last week was awesome! On Tuesday we had one of our Sister-Training leaders come and we had a little trio. We went and taught Alexandra and oh boy! We didn't have contact with her for 5 weeks and so Sunday we just went over and turns out she has been praying everyday! She had been reading the Book of Mormon and still wanted to get baptized! So on Tuesday we set a bap date for June 24th! So cool!! So her and her mom came to church this Sunday! Her mom is a less active so hopefully we can get her back to activity! And neither of her parents are opposed to her getting baptized as far as we can tell! Also we got a hold of Riley again and he is still interested and wants to meet with us and is planning to come to church this next Sunday! I don't know how we will be able to handle multiple investigators at church! Not to many missionaries get to have that problem so I am excited!

We had a new couple just move into the ward and they invited 2 sets of missionaries over for dinner just a week after they moved in! They fed us a straight up salad and guess what? I loved it! Thats right! I love food! They are so awesome! Man! People are just amazing! I love it here in the Prairie :) We taught Felecia, she is a sweet Muslim lady. We had a great lesson with her about "burying" our sins as the Anti-Nephi-Lehis and just invited her to align herself with God more. She is dropping us for the summer because of Ramadan and she is super busy. But we will get a good bold last lesson in with her hopefully this week.

So this week we got 9 referrals from the Hmong Elders and they were all Hmong people who they couldn't contact. So we set out in contacting! It was great. We had no idea if any of them spoke English so we go to everyone with prayer for some communication :) One of them we weren't sure how to pronounce their name or what gender they were so we get to a house and we rang the doorbell. This man opens the door and he happens to have a name tag on for work and it is the name we were given to look for. Sister Packer has a cute little habit where if there is a language barrier she talks really loud. So she very loudly, and excitedly leans forwards and exclaims "Oh! You are who we are looking for!" Turns out this guy had never met missionaries before so it was pretty creepy :) We had a good laugh walking away from that one! One of the people didn't answer their door and their neighbor was watering their lawn. We went and asked for help and as all old ladies seem to do she said no! (old ladies can be quite mean sometimes :) ) So we gave a little missionary schpeel then went into a Family History schpeel. We asked her if she has ever been interested and genealogy and oh boy! Yes! She tells how she is really into that and gives an AMAZING testimony of how Christ has helped her! Like at one point I was in tears because wow! She was phenomenal! She then says oh yeah! I will talk to anybody about Jesus! And she invites us into her house and gives us a tour! She told us all about her family and genealogy! And wow! She has a whole ROOM dedicated to her family history! Usually when people say they are into it they have a couple generations back. Oh no! She has done so much! And they went to france and just huge into this! We helped her a little bit with family search and now we just have an open invitation to her house. She is a Born Again Christian which I have no idea what their beliefs are. She didn't seem interested in learning more yet but her curiosity will peek at some point :)

So yesterday we worked on Memorial day and oh boy! It was actually really good in the morning. We went up and down Main Street doing some street contacting and it was really good! Placed 3 BOMs and got 2 people to come to our church's open house in a week. Then we found this lady and we got to volunteer to help out with a new service opportunity. There is this house built in 1866 that they do tours for grade school kids in. We asked if we could help and she said no, unless you know how to darn a sock. I was like yeah, I know how to darn a sock! And she was just so thrilled! So today I taught 2nd graders about darning socks! How funny is that! So fun!

Also Yesterday we visited a Lady in our ward named Sister Pink and she is just the kindest, sweetest lady! She fed us delicious Dickey's Barbecue. Dad, you need to get that good at smoking the meat ;)
Bottom line, being a missionary is the best! Wow! I could go on and on but I don't have to much time left! I still got to send pics :) But something really cool about reading the BOM this time around is the bottom line of ALL the commandments is because God wants us to be happy. If you tear it all down to the simplest points, everything that is given to us in the gospel is because God loves us and he wants us to be happy and he knows the best and most complete way! It is a really cool thing to think about. I will have my comp give me a commandment so I can tell her why it is for our benefit. So fun! And just one last story about me so I don't make Sister Packer feel bad with her embarrassing story! So last night I cannot for the life of me remember what I was dreaming about. All I know is I had some type of epiphany and Sister Packer was in my dream and I was so excited to ask her a question. I woke up in the middle of the night apparently asking her, loudly,"What is the craziest facial hair you have EVER seen?!" I couldn't remember what I said but she kindle informed me in the morning :) I had like ripped off all my blankets to when I said it. I was super excited about facial hair apparently ;)

Well I hope you all have a fantastic week! I do get to run off my letters so I will be reading them throughout the week!

I love you all!!!!!!!!!

Holy Cow!

Dear Mommy and Poppi! And Family!

Wow! You sound so busy. What in the world is with all these trips! Holy cow! I am sorry mom you have so much alone time. You could read Jesus the Christ! It is soooo incredible! I read everyday at lunch for like 10 minutes and I am only on page 45. I just want to take it all in! Every page is just genius. In heaven I want to meet Elder Talmage. So cool. I wish I could have taken one of his classes. You could drive somewhere in paint. I suddenly have an interest for drawing. I wish I could paint. The scenery out here can be breath taking! Wow! I wish I had your skills mom!

You would be happy to know that I too have been gardening! That is right! We have been helping out the members a lot on Saturday mornings and for the past two we have been weeding and gardening! It has been fun! My pants are just permanently dirty it seems like. That is what they are here for though! We get like one or two just gorgeous days! The leaves are coming in and everything is just so green! I love it! Everyone keeps talking about how there might be a drought this summer and I just think What?! I have seen more rain here in the last month then the last two years in Idaho! I don't know what anyone is talking about! What do they know of droughts! Haha! It just makes me laugh. I am sure it really can be a problem, I ain't no farmer.

This week was good. Like nothing out of the ordinary happened. We worked really hard. There was a TON of service we did! Holy Cow!! Hours each day! I like it, but we do need to find more people to teach. We get fed really good meals. Every time we go to a members house it is like Christmas dinner :) Wow! I love food. No one need to make fun of my pickiness ever again because I eat everything! My taste buds were set apart with me ;) But really I love everything! I love blueberries! Holy cow! I never knew! But they are so expensive! I have only eaten them at members houses! Definitely putting on some missionary weight :) I am trying so hard to be healthy in my own eating! We also exercise. I just hope Mary's promise to me that it WILL go away after the mission is true ;) Haha! I have only been out for a month though! I think it is the MTC that ruins you though. We were fed so much food yet everyone just goes into survival mode. Maybe it is just because this is my first time away from home. I feel like I need to eat as much as I can, but no it is actually getting better. I am getting back to normal :)

Sunday though was SO good! We finally had investigators at church! The Stolls came! The are RLDS and we had an amazing lesson two weeks ago about baptisms for the dead and I KNOW they felt the spirit of truth! Then the next week he said he will just have to agree to disagree with us so we were pretty disappointed with that BUT then this week he kept asking questions about it! So he hasn't rejected it yet even though he says he has! And church was so inspired for them! Everyone kept talking about Family History and family members being converted and baptisms for deceased ancestors and how it is NEVER too late to change! Then we went and visited this sweet sweet inactive member Sister Pink. She has really bad anxiety so she literally cannot go to church. Her husband is in a nursing home right now and she is working so hard to get him back. But she has just the best testimony! Holy Cow! I was in awe! Such a neat lady and she just loves the missionaries. I had a really neat spiritual confirmation at her house. Wow, her appreciation for the Sisters especially was just so amazing. Man! Everyone has just such different lives yet Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us the same! Someone in sacrament meeting shared an amazing testimony that we are love not only despite our flaws but because of our flaws. I just though that was so neat!

Then for really exciting news! We have this investigator, Alexandra, and she had a baptism date and then we couldn't get a hold of her for 5 weeks and her date came and went. We finally just went to her house and wow! She is praying everyday and in every situation and is reading the BOM everyday and she wants to get baptized!!!! AHHH!! We hopefully will set a date tomorrow but wow! It was just so cool! We were so worried about her then BAM! She has the huge testimony! And she is like telling her friends all about it and just being a little missionary! I was just so in shock! Yesterday was just such a good day!

Thank you so much for those histories you sent! Wow! There is nothing more inspiring than their stories! David Wheeler! Holy cow! I want to follow in his footsteps and be missionary like that! Wow! And the "come what may and love it talk'! So good! Loved it so much! I just want to be this type of person! I love being a missionary! I love working hard! It is amazing what you can do when you are on the Lord's side!

Keep being an amazing family! Look for opportunities to serve especially if you are feeling down. Focusing on others is just the best thing in the world and it makes you happy! I love you all! Have a great week!!!!!!

Lots of love!!!!!!!!

Madison Zone Conference

Ah, food.

Madison East Zone

There are tons of beautiful red barns here.

This is the Chandler Family! They just have the cutest kids! So adorable! And they drew the cutest sidewalk art welcoming us :) The kids her LOVE the missionaries! And the girls love the Sisters! I am so lucky to be here with them! I remember being that age and just looking up to missionaries so much! I can't believe that is me!!

Silly Silly Elder Stephens! He just has a hay day at the museum! Such a fun service! He was the one who ran into the thunder storm with us :)

Then this is Mary, the 10 year old who wants to be baptized BUT her parents don't know and we are worried she wants to get baptized because she just likes us :) Which is good but... :)

Turtle time

For you mom ;) That sign apparently always has something funny :) I laughed everytime!

Beautiful sunset! I couldn't stop staring at the sun so I was only blind for a little bit ;)

Me in my "Bucky swag" That is what the kids call it here, ready for service and gardening!

Then I saw my first cardinal! I am pretty sure it's a cardinal! You'll have to confirm it mom but man! You would LOVE the birds! They are EVERYWHERE!! I love it!

An overview of Madison from the outskirts, no this is not from our apartment :)

Phone calls time.

Our cute missionary cars! Every Sunday and Monday and Tuesday all 6 of us go the church! I still am in shock that we have 6 missionaries assigned to this ward!

Then the prairie of Wisconsin! Haha! The skies are gray most of the time since I have been here :)

Mother's Day

Dear Family!

Oh man do I just love you all! It was great to Skype with you! Sorry rest of the fam, I forgot you were on the phone! I am going to make sure for Christmas to get a google hangout going! Or at least try my hardest!
So to start off 2 funny stories! So I totally forgot to tell you this one yesterday. Saturday night we were just exhausted (like basically every night) and we were totally out by 10:30. Now Sister Packer likes to do this thing where in the middle of the night she thinks its morning and tries to get me out of bed :) I don't care I just fall back to sleep. But that night the phone rings at 11:30. Just the weirdest thing. It was a weird Iowa number and Sister Packer is the one who gets the phone which probably isn't the best thing because she gets up in the middle of the night half asleep all the time :) The person on the phone asks us if we are the missionaries and she said yes and just a very confusing conversation went on for like a minute and I can't recall what was said because I was just basically asleep :) Then the woman says she want to talk about Jesus Christ and I grogily still in my mission mindset say "Sweet! Thats what we do!" But she couldn't understand us so she ended up just saying she would call back in the morning. We haven't heard back yet but it was so confusing! During our exercise the next morning I asked Sister Packer if that was real and she freaked out when she remembered :) It was quite funny. We will have to keep calling the number back. We do give our phone number to like 40+ people every week! Its bound to happen eventually!

Second story! Haha I don't know how much you will appreciate this but we found it hilarious!! We were playing sports at the church with our district in the gym. Then we realize it is pouring outside! And me and my comp haven't really experienced this warm pouring of rain before seeing that we are both from a cold desert :) So my comp and I and an Elder run out in the rain. We were drenched in about 5 seconds! We took our shoes and sock off and we were just playing in the puddles and the rain! (I know, I am sorry dad) We were just like running majestically through this meadow and frolicking in the fields and what not when BOOOOMMMM!!! HUGE thunder clap! Then this blinding flash! This huge lightning bolt stuck a pole like 150 yards from us and my comp just starts screaming and the Elder just is bolting in the other direction yelling oh my gosh! We all bolted back to the building and everyone just starts laughing and the elder goes to a corner in like "shock" talking about how it was right there and we almost died(he was mostly joking) :) It was fun! Now we have a near death experience :) The Elders who were inside said the thunder was so powerful it shook the basketball hoop and they could feel it and when the lightning flashed the lights went out for like 2 seconds! But we are okay! We were laughing pretty hard at their reactions.

Today we went bowling too! That was fun! The gym at the church gets crazy when we are in there. I can't even describe the chaos that happens! Maybe I will take a video sometime! But we got bored fast and went bowling instead :)

So this weekend we did some service and helped garden! It was awesome to work outside and do manual labor! And it was like the perfect weather! I got a little sunkissed on my nose :)
Last night after we skyped we went home and watched The Testaments. I realized it's like the only chick flick we can watch on our missions :) It was so good though. Jesus Christ really lives! He really knows us each by name and he knows what we have been through! He is the literal sun of God! And he will come again! And we shall all know him! I think that is so amazing! Oh what a beautiful day that will be! I can't wait! Well I can and I have to but wow! So cool!

So here in the Sun Prairie ward Mother's Day is awesome! So you know how in our ward you get candy bars or a flower. Oh no, not here. The men cook like a buffet! There was so much food! They made bacon and then there were a ton of treats! Chocolate dipped strawberries, cakes, brownies, cookies, pies, cupcakes! It was amazing! And apparently for Fathers day its just a buffet of pies! How cool is that?! Also Sister Packer and I went and bought a bouquet of roses and wrote notes and gave them to a lot of women that we were teaching. It is so cool being a missionary. We were talking about this last night before we went to bed. The love you feel for others is amazing! Like I can honestly say I love these people! And the coolest part is I know its not from me! This is Christ's love we feel for them! I am not capable of this type of caring! You get like a little inkling of knowledge of how much God loves them and you just want the best for them. I love it! I don't want this feeling to go away when the name tag comes off!

Well I really love you guys! It was so fun to talk to you last night! Sorry my letter is all over the place, I just don't know what to say after yesterday! It was fun! Liam is getting so big and his talking is so cute! I love it! You guys are doing great things there! I am just starting to realize just a fraction of how everyday decisions effect the rest of our lives! At mutual they did a question panel with some amazing members of our ward answering the youth's questions. And at the end one of the adults asked "I just want to know if any of you realize the impact your choices now make on your future?" And there was a little discussion but I have really been thinking about it! Like I could have slept or not paid attention in seminary on a day that could have been crucial in a situation I am in now on my mission! I could have learned something I needed! Or like that person who came and sat by me at lunch one day when I was an awkward lonely 7th grader. She had no idea we would be amazing friends 7 years later and such an example to me on my mission! By small and simple things are great things brought to pass! I read a talk by Elder Holland and he credits everything in his life from his mission on to his mission. His marriage, his family, his job and his calling! I just want to be the best missionary I can be and give my all to the Lord for the next 18 months! I am trying hard and I just love it! I love everything! I just love life! It is hard but SO worth it and so rewarding! Everyone should just go serve missions ;) Haha!

Lots and lots of love!!!

This Kid!

Dear Madre and Padre,
I love it here. It has like an Idaho homely feel but with a Utah vibe. It's nice out here. Mom, you would LOVE the houses here! They have like a fun cottage style to them. The front porches with chairs and shutters on the window that match the door. Today is like the first day above 55. It's been too cold for flowers so hopefully those will start coming out!

Alma 7:11-13 is a wonderful scripture that greatly expresses Christ's sacrifice for us. The word succor means "to run to". So Cool. Christ is great. I love Jesus. God is good! Haha! I think I tell my comp that everyday :). I love this work, there is nothing better.

My Missionary Commission
"I am called of God. My authority is above that of the kings of the earth. By revelation I have been selected as a personal representative of the Lord, Jesus Christ. He is my master and He has chosen me to represent him, to stand in His place. To say and do what He Himself would say and do if He were personally ministering to the very people to whom He has sent me. My voice, and my acts are His acts; my words are His words and my doctrine His doctrine. My commission is to do what He wants done. To say what He wants said. To be a living modern witness in word and deed - of the divinity of His great and Marvelous latter-day work. HOW GREAT IS MY CALLING?"
-Elder Bruce R McConkie

We recite this every day and it keeps my eye on the work! This is real! I know that that statement is true and I can feel it! This is why I love missionary work. 3 Nephi 27:14 is Christ's mission. I'm here to help all men know of Him. Even though we don't get in a lot of houses, I know and I can see we touched the person we speak to! You can see it in their eyes. They are bothered at first then you testify of the truthfulness of Christ and leave with a powerful prayer and you can see it in their eyes! The Spirit speaks to them. I just love it!

I love you!

Oh my goodness! Coolest thing just happened!! So glad it is still P-day so I can write this! We were tracting as usual, and we see this guy just staring at us in his truck. We get to that house then just awkwardly go to the door. He then runs out of his truck and says he lives there. So we do the missionary introduction and ask about his faith in Jesus Christ. It's this 16 year old kid, Sophomore in High School, and he actually answers how Christ helps him! No one can give a solid answer to that it seems. He then says, "I know this is weird, but I pray all the time. I just feel so good when I do." We were so impressed! This guy prays morning and night and everywhere in between. He's very strong Lutheran and LOVES the Bible! He started quoting scripture and everything! Come to find out he reads the Bible day and night and sometimes during dinner! Like where did this kid come from?! He mentioned one of his friends is Mormon and then ASKS US if he could learn more about our faith! Whaaaaa?? So we whip out the Book of Mormon and I read him one of ,my favorite scriptures and he was just in awe! THEN! HE asks for a Book of Mormon! Heck yes! We testify and he is just LOVING IT. He then COMMITS HIMSELF to read the BOOK! And he just starts thanking us profusely! We gave him our number if he has any questions and he ran in the house to get us something. He then comes out with a $20 bill and tries to pay us! He said "It means so much to me that you would donate your time to come out here. I just want to donate a little something back." We were just speechless! We didn't take it of course, but wow! Such an amazing Young Man. He is going to be a missionary someday, he's going to be a bishop, a stake president! Like, what in the world! 16 year old kid, AMAZING testimony! Wow! Prays always, diligently studies the Bible. He came up to us. He asked us to learn more. He asked us if he could have a B o fM. He tried to pay us. He thanked us so profusely! At least 20 times I kid you not. This kid was just in awe! And I was in awe with this kid. Now that's a story to tell. Wow! We were just in shock after. He'd been working on his truck when we came and when we drove by after he was sitting in his truck reading the Book of Mormon. Wow! Wow! This kid! Why do I even call him a kid?! He's gonna eat that thing up. He is going to love Nephi and the stories in there. And he knows what the Spirit feels like, and we read Moroni's promise. He will know it's true! Ahh! I just love being a missionary! Have you ever heard of such a thing!?

Love,
Anne

Anne of Milwaukee Fame

Such a great name that has brought a yucky candy undeserved longevity

Are you ready to tract, sister?!

In the great state of Wisconsin.
A lake, and a city, and a mission ready to happen

Milwaukee and Houston on the same board!

The rainy city

Just awesome us after tracting in the rain for hours and getting ready for service!

My companion from Idaho

World, get ready for us.

I'm the map, I'm the map...

My personal "wall"

And the squirrels here are monsters! They are not Idaho squirrels! Haha it is rather ridiculous! They are like giant rats with bushy tails! Gah-ross! Haha!

The Bubbly

Dear wonderful family!

Packages get here in 2 days! I got the one you sent on Monday on Wednesday. The other one was an awesome surprise! Me and Sister Packer came home and we each had received a surprise package and it was AWESOME! I loved it! We have a mail box with a key inside the apartment building (which you have to have a key to get in the building) then if the package is to big they put it by your door in the building. All 2 of our neighbors are nice so I don't worry about it :)
Now for the important questions! Mothers day! Heck yes we get to Skype! The family we are going to is awesome! Their Skype name is "andischri" So our time will be at 6:45 my time. So I don't know your time, you figure it out :) So you have a week to get ready and figure out skype :)  She is very passionate about the mom getting to see their kid :) Haha!

By the way sorry for the confusion about Katt! We ate dinner with her last night and that is when she sent those pics. Then she called us while we were getting ready for bed super confused why my family thought they knew her :) It is all good though!

Mom! Women's conference sounded amazing! That is like a LOT of what we learn out here being a missionary! I read the TED talks thing to my comp and we had a good giggle because that is what we do everyday! So we are pretty good at staying positive! It is hard not to be! I LOVE being a missionary! There is no greater calling! The power that comes with it is so humbling and so amazing! I can hardly stand it! Just an overload of blessings and tender mercies each day!

So Monday was awesome! We go do laundry and study our scriptures and there is an amazing bakery right next to it where we buy our bread and breakfast from! The bread is delicious! Homemade (basically) wheat bread and today I got Jalapeno cheese bread as well. It is a decent price too! If you get it a day old its only a dollar! Then of course we get to come down and write letters and wow! Mail is just the best feeling in the world! Especially when it comes in the mailbox ;) I don't know if I hint enough or anything... But last week after pday something fell through and we didn't have anything to do so we prayed really hard and we get a text message from the ward mission leader asking us if we had visited a ward member recently. So we got really excited and ran over there. It turns out she was doing great and she shared an amazing testimony with us about her conversion and what her missionaries did right. Then I had a prompting to ask her to teach a lesson with us sometime and it was honestly one of the first times I could honestly say I have wrestled with the spirit! We didn't have anyone to teach so why ask her? But I finally felt like my head would explode so I did! And now we have quite a few new and potential investigators so we just have to figure out who she is meant to teach! But super cool experience! And we were so blessed to have our time filled!

Then Tuesday was just so flipping awesome! To start of we had a solid week of just clouds and rain! We did not see the sun for a solid week! This Saturday was the first time since last Friday! And it poured a ton! So on Tuesday we tracted for 3 hours in the rain! And I just loved it! Most people don't give you too much time, but when you think about all the mormon.org cards, pictures of Christ and most importantly the Book of Mormons you get into all these homes, it is such a miracle! We try to give something to every person we come in contact with. We knocked on this one ladies door and she gave us the same answer everyone does "I have my own religion" but we kept talking and introduced the book of mormon and then she started asking us about our church and if we have classes and what not. She said she was starting to become unhappy with her church (ahhh! perfect!) We talked about Relief Society and she let us in! That is right! Take that one to the bank! She let us in because we talked about Relief Society! We had a good short lesson with her and hopefully she'll let us back someday. Then we tracted quite a while with not as much success. 3 hours of tracting we got pretty tired and a little frustrated so we prayed really hard for just one more person to be interested. Just one more! Next door we knocked on she let us talk to her! It is so funny, you can tell when someone is interested in the Book of Mormon because when you testify how it has helped in your life they just start eyeing it :) She started to and even asked where she could get one! So we of course handed one over and she asked for a passage to read! It was like Hallelujah! Granted when we came back for an appointment she dogged, but she is in the books now :)

Wednesday we got to help sweet Marie. I don't know if I told you about her. Cat lady. She doesn't like chemicals so we clean her house with vinegar! That is exciting! Haha! We planned to finally teach her the restoration but it just didn't feel right at the time (she has super low attention!) and read a passage from the Book of Mormon. She totally felt the spirit and she just starting crying! It was awesome, in a good way of course :) Then we taught our Muslim investigator and that was interesting. We are figuring out we are just a class for her. That is all. I don't think she is really interested. All she does is compare doctrine. But who knows, maybe she will have someone ask her about our church and she will have something good to say :) That is what we are here for. To plant good seeds! Funny thing though! I walk into her house and the couch legs are all cut off! So the couches are like 7 inches off the floor! That was fun with a skirt!

Thursday we got to do our weekly planning! Yay....Haha it is good and all but sometimes it takes forever! At least we got it all done that day! We taught a 12 year old recent convert about fasting so we could fast about her friend who wants to get baptized. The lesson started off rather terribly, she is so hyper! And she just didn't get why giving up food for a day would be good. Then thankfully the spirit came to the rescue and it turned out to be a really good lesson! We then found like the golden hour for tracting! Every single person answered their door! And most were really pleasant! We got several short lessons in and it was amazing! Then again the last house we go to the guy was just so open! He was perfectly fine with learning more! So we have him as a new investigator! We are going back in a few days! He was so funny! I am so excited!

Then blessed, blessed Friday! Oh my goodness! We finally got to teach Wendy who we found last week and it was so good! She is so prepared! We are praying so hard for her! She needs this so bad! She had a really hard marriage that she just got out of and she feels so much shame for that, she just wanted a family! Then, awesome stuff, she just quit drinking and is currently trying to stop smoking! Say Whaaaaaa!? Already working on the Word of Wisdom! What is this! She knew she was supposed to let us in! Holy cow! Such a miracle! I LOVE being a missionary!! I can't even! You get to see God's hand in every single thing you do!

Then Saturday was just a day chuck full of service and trying to contact. We are working on speaking to everyone we see which was good because one Sunday we saw this girl out on a walk and we go stalk her and talk to her. Then we get talking about the book of mormon and you could tell she just wanted one so bad! She was just eyeing it and then asked if we had an extra one for her :) Best feeling in the world! So new investigator there! Church was really good to! Testimony meeting was beautiful! Members here are so inspirational! They are all so different! So many Converts, part-member families, single families, you name it!

Funny thing that I didn't believe Sister Packer about! There is this really cute neighborhood just full of adorable apartments, it looks pretty nice. Sister Packer told me when I first got here that that was the "hood" I just laughed. Then we went tracting there a little bit and she was totally right! It sounds and looks ridiculous but it so is! It's so funny! I'll have to send a picture! You would never guess, and you probably still wouldn't believe me :)

I'm loving it here! I love being a missionary! I just love serving the Lord! BTW Nacho Libre is like half the words that come from our mouths! You don't realize how many movies you quote until you have no movies and it is all you have left ;) Good thing my comp like it! It seems like everynight this week, late at night (for me that means after nine :) I just get so ridiculous. Like silly delirious tired haha! But! That is when I get all my inspiration!

So many "late night" epiphanies! So my most recent one is Moroni 7:16 I love this scripute and I have used it a ton, but I only just realized what it means. So something confusing here is so many people are religious and claim to know God! It was really confusing to me because I was like how can they have these confirmations and whatnot? Then I realized that I knew the answer the whole time! Every man has the light of Christ! So if they do something good they can have the confirmation from God that it is of him! God is good! I thought that was so neat! I just love the BOM! It can literally answer EVERY singel question! Us missionaries ain't lying about it! It is true! I just love it so much!

I hope you have a great week! I can't wait to talk to you! If you get bored send me something! Anything ;) Haha!

Lots of love!
Sister Trent!
